Genentech Workspace Transformation

Genentech’s Access Solutions team has begun a multi-phased move into new South San Francisco workspaces designed for their particular needs by Gensler’s San Francisco office.  BPS was engaged by this patient advocacy business unit.  The focus of this engagement was to develop and lead a change management initiative to help ready the organization for the change to the new, collaborative, collegial and flexible work environment which features social hubs, focus rooms and a high degree of visibility throughout the new work spaces.

HP Change Management

Small interventions and support can have large impacts. BPS worked with HP Bay Area GRE staff in targeted change management support.  BPS did brief on-site evaluation of current workplace environments and created support materials targeted to three groups of end users – executives, managers, and staff.  The focus was on providing information that the GRE staff could use in their work with Business Units working toward a changed work environment.

BPS Monograph Series

BPS is starting a workplace monograph series to consolidate and share our knowledge from years of workplace consulting.  The first monograph will focus on workplace change, including: the nature of workplace change today, what tends to change, what processes are typically used, what are their impacts, how do people and organizations respond, and how can their adaptation to the new environments be facilitated.  The second monograph will focus on a broad view of sustainability and organizational behavior.
